Anna has made her big debut in movie “The Piano” (1993). She went for an audition inspired by older sister who found an ad about casting in the newspaper. This very first role gave Paquin an Oscar for supporting actress, making her the second youngest winner of the award at the age of 11. Unexpected career after, what seemed at the moment small project, has blossomed, when actress portrayed superhero Rogue in X-Men franchise.

She is also well known for the role of Sookie Stackhouse from HBO’s series “True Blood” (2008). Currently Anna continues her acting career and is a supporter of LGBT community and charities helping sick kids.
